In this case a thirty-five-year-old man was being denied his LTC due to a situation which occurred fifteen years prior.  Having been denied twice, because of the fifteen-year-old incident, the client was uncertain of how to proceed.  Attorney Henshaw was able to present his case to the judge, and argue persuasively, that the Chief's decision was arbitrary, capricious and abusive of his discretion.  In a ninety minute contested hearing Attorney Henshaw as able to demonstrate the client's suitability and have the Chief's decision overturned.

In the case of an LTC suspension turned appeal, Attorney Henshaw was able to successfully secure his client's Second Amendment rights. Having successfully defended his rights in the District Court, the client was faced with an appeal by the Chief of Police seeking to deny him his rights again. Attorney Henshaw was able to not only defend the action, but have it dismissed prior to it even being heard.

In a tragic divorce turned DCF nightmare, an innocent wife was found "neglectful" of her child through no fault of her own.  Having been abused by her husband for years, the wife found herself in a nightmare scenario of be physically attacked by him one evening.  Having no other alternative, the wife fought back to protect her life and safety. As this happened in front of the couple's child, DCF became involved and found mother "neglectful" for "committing violent acts" against the father.  Attorney Henshaw took the fight to DCF and appealed this egregious determination and had the finding reversed by DCF's own hearing officer.
